RIBA-Approved CPD Seminar
Specifiers can learn how to maximise value with single ply membrane through participation in a CPD from Protan.
The RIBA certified CPD “Protecting Value with Quality Single Ply Membrane” gives supported technical detail to enable designers to optimise value throughout the design & build process, to achieve a structure that uses material that will perform on all levels.
“To most, single ply means flat roofs, but it can be used effectively for all roof profiles, and vertical cladding too,” elaborates Fraser Maitland, Protan UK Managing Director. “It also means plastic, which is not perceived to be environmentally friendly. The CPD dispels those myths, demonstrates the facts not fiction, and gives strong justification for the material from building design through construction to ‘end of life.
“The Protecting Value CPD covers the diversity of single ply, how single ply membrane itself can reduce structural requirements, even something as simple as the fixing method can reduce insulation requirements, careful choice of installation process can cut material & labour costs and reduce emissions. It genuinely delivers professional education.”
